London

It’s hard to believe that we’ve only been away for 5 days… I’ve experienced so many new things that it seems like weeks we’ve been overseas. For example, this morning I woke up in Galway Ireland, took a taxi to the airport, flew into Luton, took a bus to the train station, arrived in London by train, checked into our hostel, took a nap, explored a castle, saw St Pauls cathedral, and toured London.

On our way to the Galway airport this morning the taxi driver asked us which gate we were at. After we fumbled with our papers for a moment he said, “that’s a joke, lads. We’ve only one gate here” then he drove us right up to the door where we check in and said jokingly, “I’m afraid you’ll have to walk from here lads” I love the Irish sense of humor.

Also last night when we walking to diner a Irish man (obviosly drunk) was stumbling out of a pub. He unleaded an impressive belch then looked at me and said, “man I gotta stop eating chicken!” and then burst out laughing a great belly laugh, showing his toothy smile through a thick beard. So great haha.

The hostel here in London makes our previous hostels look like 5 star hotels. The rooms are packed with (not beds) sleeping pods stacked three high. I feel like I’m on a submarine… with windows ha.

Turns out the “London tower” is actually more like an awesome castle. It makes the Irish castles look cute (and shows why they we the worlds dominant power). I’ll try to get some photos up when we get to Liverpool on Saturday. The computers here don’t make it easy to get photos off the camera.

That’s all for tonight. Good night!
